Your crawl space houses many of your home’s critical utilities that are worthy of protection against the elements and animal intrusions, yet we often trust builder-basic, cheap, flimsy, ill-fitting, and/or wooden doors to close the space off from the outside. How does this make sense?
Fact is, it doesn’t make sense. Your crawl space deserves a premium-grade door designed to withstand both weather and wildlife. Our custom-made crawl space doors are built-to-order for perfect fitment. Our builds feature an independent door and frame system so that when the door is removed for crawl space access you’re not hindered by a hinged door remaining in your way. Both frame and door are constructed with steel for strength, and then powder-coated for a lasting and durable finish. The door is made with two interlocking door skins, imagine a box and lid, that enclose an insulated core. When the door is in the frame it’s drawn tight to its weather seal and secured closed with a cam latch. Our cam latches include a hole that you can optionally add a lock to for ultimate peace of mind that nothing can enter your crawl space unless you’ve provided the access.
Above you can check out the post-install pictures of the door in the featured image at the top of this page. Below are some pictures of the build process.
